Inspired by recovered ghost nets and the vast beauty of the open ocean, the Tahitian Net Pendant reimagines the net as something protective rather than destructive: a delicate lattice of gold cradling an extraordinary pearl from the Pacific Ocean.
For this one-of-one piece, a hand-woven net of solid 14kt gold has been formed entirely by hand to the contours of a large baroque Tahitian pearl, then suspended from a 30" chain.
The pearl remains exactly as it was formed: undrilled and untreated, with its natural shape, surface and deep oceanic colour left untouched.
Tahitian pearls of this scale, character and quality are exceptionally difficult to source. Each Tahitian Net is therefore a true one-of-one, created only when we find an extraordinary pearl worthy of the piece.
